CLEARWAY is an independent, privately owned company established in 1987, and specialises in the use of explosives on land and in subsea operations. Besides using explosives for civil engineering projects such as structural cutting, we are also actively involved in the detection, clearance and removal of mines and unexploded weapons on land from battle areas and military firing ranges, and at sea and underwater from ships, ports, and harbours.
We are also the only explosives company in the North East of Scotland licensed for the disposal of commercial blasting explosives, pyrotechnics, and surplus oilfield related explosives, and have two dedicated disposal areas.
We have also been involved in explosives and unexploded ordnance consultancy to marine insurance companies, loss adjustors, oil companies, pipeline construction companies, salvage contractors and reconstruction organisations, and are also a full member of The British Institute of Explosives Engineers.
With our detailed knowledge of weapons and explosives, we are able to offer a full explosives service, together with the most cost effective equipment needed for each particular task.
The Managing Director of CLEARWAY is an ex-British military Minewarfare and Bomb Disposal Officer with 22 years experience of practical military explosives including the search, location and removal of unexploded weapons. In addition he has had 20 years worldwide experience in commercial explosives and clearance.
The other CLEARWAY personnel are also ex-military minewarfare, explosives and bomb disposal experts chosen for their individual skills, their high standards of safety and training, and their ability to apply their technical expertise.
With the expertise of CLEARWAY's personnel and the company's past experience in a wide range of explosive tasks we consider that we are able to significantly assist clients in all matters related to explosives.
