CLEARWAY specialises in the detection, clearance and removal of mines and unexploded weapons on land from battle areas, military firing ranges, and agricultural land prior to construction or the return of refugees to their homelands.

In 1995 CLEARWAY was the EOD consultant to European Marine Contractors and Transco for the installation of a trenched gas pipeline across the Irish Sea. CLEARWAY advised on the risks from explosion, safety procedures and equipment required, the method of trenching, and the liaison required with the local authorities. As a result the operational plan was accepted by the HSE and all parties, and the whole operation was conducted with out incident or explosion.

CLEARWAY has also

·	reviewed the offshore storage and safety of explosives for Texaco

·	Written the procedures for BP on the discovery of unexploded ordnance near offshore installations and pipelines

·	Advised Lloyds Register and Interconnector on the safe distances for disposal of unexploded ordnance from sub sea pipelines entering Belgium

·	Advised the Taiwanese Ministry of Defence on the safe removal and disposal of land mines and ammunition on Kinmen Island

·	Advised BMT Reliability Consultants on the removal of unexploded ordnance from a WWII wreck

In 1997 CLEARWAY advised Enterprise Oil on the procedures for the removal and disposal of a 500lb WWII German bomb found adjacent to a pipeline in the North Sea.
